Mothers Day Out is a special weekday ministry for preschool children and parents.

MDO is a ministry that connects to stay at home parents and children in our community. We provide a loving nurturing outreach to preschool children to experience being with other children on a one day each week basis. Each child is registered and attends MDO on the same MDO day each week. We serve children ages 6 months to 4 years.

MDO 2010-2011

Our Mothers Day Out Program is re-opening in September. We have some openings. Registration for September 2010 will be ongoing throughout the summer.   Should you wish to enroll your child, please click on Registration and Fees in order to find the procedure for being placed on our wait list. All children are placed on the wait list prior to being contacted when we have an opening. All registrations are done in person. Forms are not mailed. The non-refundable registration fee is $40.00 per child. One check (payable to FBC/MDO) can be used for all children in the same family. Neither cash/nor credit cards are accepted. Throughout the year we interview for paid teacher/substitute positions. If you are interested in working at MDO, as a teacher or substitute, please contact Carolyn Bass. Please include your name, email address, phone number, and your child's name, if your child is currently enrolled; or the same information requested above if you will be interviewing for a teaching position and wishing to enroll a child or children.

Teachers have the option of having their child/children attend MDO on the day that they teach and having a day out.

Our program is unlike a preschool in that we create, open, and close classes based on the demand from our congregation and our community. Children are placed in classes that are divided at approximately 5-12 month increments. Our youngest children are 6 months. Our oldest children are pre-kindergarten age.

We are happy to open classes provided we have enough children, enough teaching space, and the staff members to teach them. We may add, combine, or delete classes as needed during the year.
